Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) youngsters for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Shubman Gill, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and captain Eoin Morgan joined on Monday. KKR have joined the team till Sunday for the three-match ODI series and now before the upcoming season. Morgan missed the last two ODIs of the series against India in Pune due to injury during the first ODI.
KKR shared pictures of the players, in which the trio can be seen arriving at the team hotel on Monday.

On Sunday, KKR head coach Brendon McCullum arrived in Mumbai ahead of the upcoming edition of the IPL.
According to the BCCI’s SOP for IPL 2021, all players (except those from the India-England series), support staff, and those entering the management bubble undergo a seven-day quarantine in their hotel room.
Each person will be tested several times during this period, and upon returning negative results, they will be allowed to come out of their room and begin an external training and practice session.

The IPL will begin with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 9 April, the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament openers. KKR will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 11 April.
Also, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has acted with soft signals for the upcoming IPL. In its updated playing conditions for this year’s IPL, accessed by ANI, the BCCI explicitly stated that on-field officials would not be allowed to give soft signals when citing the third umpire’s decision.
