New Delhi, December 15 : German luxury auto giant BMW is on a model launch spree in India, as it eyes the top position in the country that has been in the grip of Mercedes-Benz for a long time. BMW Group India has lined up eight car launch strategy by January 2023 via the Joytown events.

The recent Joytown Delhi event saw the launch of three models already, namely – the XM SUV, the M340i saloon and the S 1000 RR superbike. This means, that the rest of the five launches from BMW will take place next month. Style & Features

The BMW i7 is the electric version of the new-generation 7 Series saloom that is also slated for its India launched next month. When looks are concerned The i7 flagship e-sedan sports a huge stylized grille, split style LED headlights, bold alloys, among others.

Specs, Range & Battery

Under the hood, the BMW i7 saloon comes packed with two electric motors, which offer a combined max power of 528 bhp and 745 Nm of peak torque. The EV offers a top speed of 240 kmph.

The India-bound i7 is come with a 101.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that supports up to 195 kW DC fast charging, and is able to offer a great 170 km range with just 10 minutes of charging. On a full charge, the luxury EV offers a range of up to 624 km.

BMW is also readying up a more powerful variant of the i7 electric sedan, which is expected to have its global debut in 2023, and it is speculated to boast of a larger battery pack with a massive range.
