In the women’s bracket, there are also some surprises, as well as a troubled drinker on the right and UConn for a little (unfortunate) history for himself.

The former president is 2-2 early, with both UCLA and Texas Southern winning their first four matches on Thursday night.

Obama played it safely, selecting all four No. 1 seeds to make it to the final four. Last – and only – at the time when all four No. 1 seeds made the semifinals in 2008, UCLA, North Carolina, Kansas and Memphis all made it to the final four. KU took home the tournament win that year.

A Final Four without Huskies? Obama has the No. 1 seed from the No. 2 seed boiler in the River Walk area. If that happens, it will be the first final four that Geno Auriemma and Ucino have missed since 2005.
