Customers face difficulty due to services being hit in UT.

Banking transactions were badly hit on the second day of a nationwide strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions to oppose the move to privatize public sector banks.

Customers faced difficulty due to the closure of bank branches beginning with the weekend holidays. More than 3,000 employees participated in the strike in Puducherry. Employees unions also held protest meetings at some places.
