Australia on Saturday tested positive for coronovirus, triggeringregestrigens in area hospitals after more than two weeks in the first local COVID-19 case.
Queensland Head of State Annastasia Pallasjukuk said the unnamed physician had treated two patients last week who had recently returned to Australia and tested positive for the UK version.

“We know this doctor who assessed these two COVID positive patients. Now he has developed into a hospital,” Palaszekuk told reporters in the state capital, Brisbane. This was Australia’s first local infection after 24 February.
The doctor, whose name was not released, treated the patients, forcing authorities for immediate contact-tracing, Palaszukuskade. Authorities have not yet determined how many people the doctor treated.
As officials tried to determine the size of the outbreak, Palasjukuk said, all hospitals in the state capital would be closed to visitors.
Australia has reported more than 29,000 coronovirus infections and 909 COVID-19 deaths, much lower than in many developed countries, helped by international border closures, lockdowns and strict social-security regulations.
In neighboring New Zealand, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Saturday that the country would reopen its borders to allow Niue residents to enter a small Pacific country.
Ms Arden said that she would not have to quarantine on her arrival from 24 March.
“Arue has reported no COVID-19 cases and its stringent border controls mean that we can be confident that it is safe to start a quarantine-free journey from Niue to New Zealand,” Ms. Ardern said in an email statement .
