As criticism mounts, Biden tells migrants not to come to America

He defends the dismantling of Trump’s policies.

President Joe Biden urged migrants not to come to the United States on Tuesday, as criticism rose among those who reached the southern border with Mexico, including thousands of immaculate children.

“Yes, I can say it’s not over clearly … don’t leave your city or town or community,” he said in an interview ABC News, Addressing migrants.

Hours after his head of homeland security defended the administration’s immigration policies, Mr. Biden also claimed that his dismantling of former President Donald Trump’s tough stance encouraged a surge, indicating that 2019 and 2020 I had similar bounce.

Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, head of Mr. Biden, also defended the administration’s immigration policies on Tuesday.

Mr Mayorkas acknowledged that the United States was “on pace” to face more migrants at any given timeframe in two decades, but said such spikes were “not new,” as occurred in 2019 and 2014 as well.
