Apple is giving free AirPods to these buyers in India – morningtidings

It might not really be ‘back to school’ for many college goers but many students will be starting college or heading back to universities soon. For these students, Apple has rolled out a ‘special’ offer. Available only on its Apple Online Store, the annual education offer is now live in India. The offer is simple: buy an eligible Mac or iPad for yourcollege or university needs, and get AirPods for free.


Who is eligible for the offer?

The offer is available to current and newly accepted college/university students, parents buying for them, and teachers and staff at all levels.


What devices can one buy to avail the offer?

The eligible products are: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro and Mac mini. Students can also buy the all-new iPad Pro and the iPad Air to get a free pair of AirPods.


Which AirPods will students get for free?

Students will get the standard AirPods (without wireless charging) for free if they buy the above-mentioned Apple products. However, for an extra Rs 4,000 they can get the wireless charging variant of the AirPods. For those who want the AirPods Pro, will have to shell out Rs 10,000 extra.


How to be eligible for the free AirPods offer?

There’s an online verification process for student or staff to avail the offer and shop on the Apple education store online.
This isn’t the only offer that eligible customers can avail. Other offers include 20% discount on Apple Care, education discount on Apple Pencil and Keyboard (for iPad Pro and iPad Air). Apple also gives Apple Arcade subscription for free for three months. Do note that these offers are available almost throughout the year for students and other eligible customers.
