Aneesh Shah appointed M&M as CEO, CEO

Aneesh Shah, deputy MD and group CFO, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) will take effect as MD and CEO on 2 April, the board announced on Friday.

Pawan Goenka will retire as MD and CEO and board member effective April 2. Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director, will take full charge of the automobile and agricultural equipment sectors.

When Anand Mahindra shifts to the role of non-executive chairman in November, Mr. Shah will become the first professional MD and CEO in the group’s history to have full oversight and responsibility for the group’s businesses. “[Mr.] Aneesh is the right leader for the Mahindra Group. As MD and CEO, he will have full oversight of all group businesses, ”said Mr. Mahindra.
