‘Amrit Mahotsav’ to be celebrated to mark 75 years of India’s independence: PM

The grand celebration to commemorate the 75th year of independence will run for 75 weeks at 75 locations across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday requested MPs and all public representatives to participate in the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark India’s 75 years of independence, which will begin from March 12 at Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs. Prahlada Joshi said.

He said that while addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting held almost a year later, Shri Modi informed that the 75th week to commemorate the 75th year of Independence will be held at 75 locations across the country.

The Prime Minister also explicitly told the Members of Parliament that they should reach out to the people and help the government carry out the COVID vaccination campaign, Mr. Joshi told reporters after the meeting.

“Prime Minister Modiji asked MPs to act as a facilitator in the ongoing vaccination campaign, such as by arranging vehicles to take citizens to vaccination centers, helping to make arrangements at vaccination centers and other potential Through means, ”he said.

Shri Joshi said that all the public representatives asked to participate in the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark the completion of 75 years of independence.

“This grand festival will be celebrated in 75 places across the country for 75 weeks and will start from the Sabramati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from March 12,” he said.

The BJP Parliamentary Party also passed a resolution commending the Prime Minister for his competent and effective leadership during the COVID-19 epidemic.

The motion was moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Joshi.

BJP president JP Nadda also addressed the party’s parliamentary party meeting and said the party expanded its footprint and helped people during the epidemic.
