An AMMK officer was stabbed by a gang near his house on Friday night. Police identified the victim as 47-year-old Yuvraj, block secretary in Vyasarajapadi.
On Friday night, Mr. Yuvraj returned home after the day’s campaign.
As he was sitting near his house, a gang of five men stabbed him and stabbed him with the knife. Hearing the cry of his cry, his brother Govardhan, a lawyer, came out and attempted to stop the attack.
The gang hit Mr. Govardhan on the head and escaped from the spot.
