Amazon has finally updated its Alexa app for iOS with a much-anticipated feature. Soon after you update the latest version of the Alexa app, you can now add an ‘Ask Alexa’ widget on the iPhone home screen just like other widgets available.
This is an interactive Widget and users can just single tap on it to start asking Alexa questions.
Starting now, you can add the “Ask Alexa” widget in your home screen to talk to the personal assistant with only one click.
If you want to add Alexa on your iPhone’s home screen, head to the Apple App Store and search for the Alexa app. Now, tap on the Update button to install the latest version of Alexa app.
Once installed, swipe left on your iPhone home screen to access the Widget screen, then tap on ‘+’ icon at the top. Look for the Alexa widget and add it to the home screen. Position it the way you want.
You will have to ensure that the Alexa app is logged in and linked to your Amazon account.
Those who don’t know one of the biggest changes that iOS 14 brought with it was the Widgets. The Widgets are really handy for checking battery level, weather, mails, notes and now for interacting with Alexa.
