NFL owners are expected to vote this week to extend the regular season to 17, a decision that could be imposed unilaterally in exchange for CBA concessions last year.
Veteran players in the NFL were upset over others folding on the CBA last year, with former running back Thomas Jones voting for players who were not “dumbasses”.
The NFL hopes to close out one game of Presenson, in order to fully prepare for a 17-game season as well as a 20-week season.
