The Indian men’s doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy bowled outside the All England Open on Thursday. Kim Estrup and Anders Skarup Rasmussen of Denmark defeated the Indian pair 21-16 11-21 21-17 in the second round of the All England Open. The Danish duo pulled off the Indian pair’s challenge within 63 minutes. Earlier on Thursday, ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu reached the quarter-finals of the All England Open after registering a comprehensive straight game win over Laine Christopherson of Denmark.
Sindhu, the world champion, dominated the encounter and went smoothly in the next round as she defeated Christophersen 21-8, 21-8 in just 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, there was disappointment for India in the men’s singles as Sai Praneeth lost to Viktor Axelsen of Denmark after winning the first game.
World number two Axelsen went on to win 15-21, 21-12, 21-12 in 52 minutes with a bang in the second and third games.
Earlier in the day, Lakshya Sen advanced to the final eight, while HS Prannoy was eliminated from the competition. Sen defeated Thomas Roulex of France 21–18 21–17 in their second round contest while world number one Kento Momota included Prannoy 21–15, 21–14 in their clash.

While Lakshya’s match ended within 53 minutes, Momota did well with Prannoy and defeated the Indian in just 48 minutes.
Saina Nehwal also pulled out of the tournament on Thursday after being injured during the second game of her first-round match (21-8, 10-4) against Danish badminton player Mia Blichfeldt.
