The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Sunday announced the postponement of the play-offs for the Indian Women’s League to be held in Delhi from 7 April until notice was given due to the rise in coronovirus cases across the country. . “After internal discussions and communication with clubs and state associations, and keeping in mind the safety of players and officials in view of the increase in covid19 cases across the country, the play-off for the Indian Women’s League is scheduled to take place in a statement by the AIFF. Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 7,59,79,651 people have been vaccinated across the country so far.

From Friday, the government started vaccinating all people above 45 years of age. India started the vaccination campaign on 16 January with priority to all healthcare and border workers in the first phase. The second phase began on 1 March where doses were given to people above 60 years of age and with specific combinations between 45 and 59 years.
