Bombay High Court on 22 February, 82, Rao, granted interim bail on medical grounds for six months.
Sources said that poet and activist Varvara Rao, an accused in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist link case, was discharged from Nanavati Hospital late on Saturday night.
The Bombay High Court granted interim bail on February 22, 82, Rao, on medical grounds for six months.
He later requested the court that he be allowed to grant cash surety until the solvent bail was granted. The request was approved by the court on Monday.
It had earlier directed that he be released on bail as soon as he is discharged from the hospital. Rao was admitted to a private hospital due to illness.
