Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar believes that the new fast bowling sensation Prasad Krishna can serve India well in Test cricket with his “speed and seam position” and the longest in 2018, just like Jasprit Bumrah. The format should be considered. Karnataka made a sensational start to their international career when they took four wickets in the first ODI against England. In the 37th over in the second game against England, Prisidh scored twice, including an unbeaten yorker to get rid of Jose Butler.
Gavaskar said during his TV commentary on Friday, “Let me tell you that with the delivery of those syllabus, he is someone who the Indian selection committee should seriously consider for the red ball (Test).”
“From T20 and ODIs, like Jasprit Bumrah, has now become India’s premium bowler in the Test format, with his pace and seam-up position, Prisidh Krishna can very well become a red ball bowler as well.”
