Mullah thrilled at USMNT’s emergence as ‘Connector’

Greg Berhalter was full of praise for Younus Musah as the young midfielder shone in his first appearance Officially committed to the US men’s national team.

Mushaira started as a part of the midfield alongside Kellyanne Acosta and Sebastian Leggett as the youngster from Valencia continued to play centrally for his club after being primarily focused on the wing.

But, in that central midfield role, Mushah once again played a key role as a key connector, which proved crucial in a 4–1 win over Jamaica.

International History of Musah

18 year old midfielder, Which was recently placed in the 2021 NxGn list of targets, Was born in New York, but joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of 9, also previously living in Italy.

Mushah represented England from the U-15s to the under-18 level before joining with the USMNT for the first time in the fall.

He appeared to be in a friendship against Panama and Wales, although England boss Gareth Southgate soon admitted that he was interested in bringing in Musah.

However, the Valencia midfielder recently confirmed that he is fully committed to moving forward.

Mushaira was a bright spot for the US in the victory over Jamaica as he flourished once again in that central midfield role.

He did not score goals like midfield partner Sebastian Lellett, but Musah quietly added the play and saw the ball full of confidence during his 73 minutes on the field.

Musaha also assisted on the Sergino Dest opener, although the Barcelona wingback would be credited for his stunning finish from outside the box.

Overall, Moses competed for 92 percent of his passes that day, winning four doubles and holding two key passes from midfield.

Now committed to USMNT, Musah is expected to compete for a starting role in Berhutter’s midfield, including the likes of Weston McKenney and Tyler Adams, both absent from the team.
