Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni unveiled the team’s new jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. CSK posted a video on social media in which Dhoni is opening the new jersey from a box and presenting it to the fans. CSK posted on social media with the video “Thala Dharisanam! #WearOnWhistleOn all new #Yellove! #WhistlePodu”. CSK will play its first match in IPL 2021 against the Delhi Capitals in Mumbai on 10 April. The three-time champions will aim to improve their sixth-place finals in IPL 2020, where they missed the playoff race for the first time in a season.

Dhoni is set to make a comeback to competitive cricket after CSK emphatically announced ahead of the last match of IPL 2020 that it was definitely “not his last” in a yellow jersey.

CSK will also be affected by the return of Suresh Raina, who missed last season due to personal reasons.

Raina arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday and is doing his quarantine service. He posted his whereabouts in his Instagram stories.

Dhoni, who announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020, did not have the best IPL off the bat last season as he scored 200 runs in 14 matches with 14 centuries at a strike rate of 116.27.

IPL 2021 began on 9 April with defending champions Mumbai Indians along with Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.
