Disappointed at being ignored for ODIs despite her T20 show making a splash, India’s teenage batting sensation Shaifali Verma says it inspires her to work hard as “deep down”, she knew Is that there is something missing in his game. Schaafali said, “I always practice (power-hitting) and work hard on my batting. Ever since I started catching bats, I like to play attacking. It works for me.”

When she makes it to the ODI squad, Verma said, “The focus will be on spending as many wickets as possible and scoring as many runs as possible.”

At the number one spot in the ICC T20I rankings, she simply said, “I’m just trying to do well for my team and win the match.”
