Krishna was expensive in his first spell as he was picked for the boundary by the opening pair of Roy and Johnny Bairstow from England.
However, the debutant made a strong comeback by dismissing Roy for 15 in the 15th over and conceded 135 runs and then gave England a double whammy by getting Stokes caught inside the circle in front of the fours.
As England scored 217 runs for 5 wickets in the 32nd over, Krishna made a major breakthrough for India by catching Billings at the hands of Kohli.
Krishna also took the last wicket to fall in the match, forcing Karnan to dismiss Bhuvneshwar Kumar, another bowler who took 2 wickets for 30 runs in 9 overs.
Promoted
Krishna took 4 wickets for 54 runs and overtook Noel David, who took 3 for 21 in his debut against the West Indies in Trinidad.
In 2011, Varun Aaron took 3 wickets for 24 runs against England in Mumbai.
