Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has said that they are reconsidering the grant of No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Shakib Al Hasan, the all-rounder for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. After this, Shakib had raised the slogan BCB for misrepresenting BCB. When he asked the board for allowance to play in the IPL and did not take part in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. BCB’s cricket operations president Akram Khan has now said that if Shakib wants to play a Test match, it will be considered in the coming days.
“I heard that he said that I did not read his letter. Maybe I misunderstood his letter. I want to play the test from what he has said. In the next few days we will discuss his NOC. If he has a. Ruchi, he will play Test in Sri Lanka. We will decide the rest after hearing the full interview, ” ESPNcricinfo Akram has been quoted as saying.
“Shakib has written in the letter that he wants to play the IPL instead of the Test series in Sri Lanka,” he said.
Earlier, Shakib had hit out at the BCB, stating that he did not want to play the longest format of the game.
Shakib clarified that he does not want to play the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka as he wants to play the IPL to prepare himself for this year’s T20 World Cup which will be played in India.
“These two tests are our last matches in the World Test Championship so it is not like we are going to play the finals. We are very low in the points table. I don’t think it makes much difference.” Shakib told Cricf Mania, Reported by ESPNcricinfo.
“The other major reason is that the World Cup T20 is in India later this year. It is a very important tournament, where we have a lot to achieve. There is not a lot to achieve in these two Tests. I have to. It seems that this is a better option, that I prepare myself for something big.

“People who keep saying that I don’t want to play the test, I am sure they did not read my letter. I did not mention anywhere in my letter to BCB that I do not want to play the test. I wrote. He said that I want to play IPL to prepare myself for the World Cup.
Shakib will be seen playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in this year’s IPL, as he was bought by the franchise for Rs 3.2 crore at a players’ auction held in February.
