BMCRI Resident Doctors Want Diversity in COVID-19 Care

The Resident Doctors Association of Bengaluru Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) has expressed concern over the non-COVID-19 patient being given no attention due to the epidemic in tertiary care centers like Victoria and Boring hospitals.

In a statement, they stated that in the past year there has been a major collateral damage in terms of concentration of COVID-19 care in these centers, at the expense of treating other patients, deaths and neglect of poor patients suffering from other diseases. .

Listing several other government hospitals and private medical colleges in Bangalore, he has said that diversifying COVID-19 care makes it possible for other patients to be treated in hospitals such as Victoria, Boring and Lady Curzon, Goshala, Vani Villa and Minto Will happen.

He has said that by diversifying COVID-19 care, about 70,000 non-COVID-19 patients per month can be treated only in Victoria and Boring hospitals. “As it is something our patients deserve, the right to decent health care, how long it is going to be before our officials and government can hear the real plight of non-COVID-19 patients” statement.
