BJP’s Ladakh unit president, MP Jamayang Tersing Namgyal, has accused the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government of harboring religious fundamentalist groups and attempting to “turn Kerala into Kashmir”.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Mr. Namgyal alleged that there was “complete breach of law and order in the state” with the CPI (M) cadres. “Crime against women is on the rise. While the LDF quashed the investigation in the Valyar case (related to the deaths of two minors), as there have been 32 political murders during the last five years, ”he said.
Gold smuggling case
The BJP leader said that the case of smuggling of gold has embarrassed the people of Kerala. He said that for the first time in the country a Chief Minister’s office was in the hands of smugglers.
He also accused the government of ignoring youth welfare and failing to address the problem of unemployment.
Despite having a state public service commission, many qualified people were being denied jobs. He said that recently a 28-year-old rank-holder was motivated to commit suicide.
He said that there has been continuous development in Ladakh for many decades, while currently on the path of development, Kerala has not achieved satisfactory growth levels during the last seven decades.
