An officer said that a policeman was allegedly killed by Naxalites after his abduction in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
Police said Constable Sannu Punim was abducted by a group of Naxalites from Pondoom village under the limits of Bhoramgarh police station on Saturday and his body was found near a drain this morning. “Punem, who was stationed at the Gangalur police station in the district, was on leave and had gone to Pandum, about 450 km from the capital Raipur,” he said. After being alerted to the incident, a police team was taken to the scene and the body was shifted for post-mortem.
