The district recorded 200 COVID-19 cases and 185 recoveries as the number of active cases rose to 1,949 on Saturday. The death toll was 859.
The district administration put 873 people under quarantine that day, while 1,071 others were allowed to quarantine. Currently 15,385 people were undergoing quarantine in their homes and there were 42 in various institutions in the district.
Restrictions were relaxed
The participation areas present in the Poojapura ward in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, and Navikulam and Kadambattukonam wards in Navikulam Gram Panchayat have been withdrawn.
