Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 400th Birth Anniversary Celebrated at Anandpur Sahib

Various ‘Gurmat Samagams’ (religious events) to be organized by SGPC have been postponed at Anandpur Sahib in Punjab to mark the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

The chairman of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) said that the ceremony related to ‘Hola Mohalla’ would be celebrated like every year.

“Kaur said,” Hola Mohalla’s programs will be celebrated with ‘Khalsai Jaho-Jalal’ (Awesome form).

The SGPC chief said that special works dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 400th ‘Prakash Purab Shatabdi’ at Anandpur Sahib have been postponed from March 24.

“The new date for these works will be fixed after April 1,” he said.

Kaur said, on the occasion of ‘Hola Mohalla’, a religious fair, the Rupnagar district administration made the COVID-19 test mandatory only for international pilgrims.

He said the deputy commissioner of Rupnagar spoke to him over the phone and clarified that no such condition had been imposed on other pilgrims.
