Foreign fans banned from Tokyo Olympics on coronovirus: organizer

Fans of the organizers will be barred from this year’s pandemic-postponed Tokyo Olympics because of current coronovirus concerns, organizers announced Saturday. “To give clarity to ticket holders living abroad and to enable them to adjust their travel plans to this level, the Japanese side has come to the conclusion that they will not be able to enter Japan.” Olympic and Paralympic Games, ”the Tokyo 2020 organizing body said in a statement.

The statement said that the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee “fully respect and accept this conclusion”.
