G-Second Yields Reached Highest Level in FY15

With the government planning to borrow ₹ 50,000 crore more in the remaining weeks of the financial month, the Friday auction saw a weighted average yield of 6.18% hitting the ceiling, the highest in this fiscal year.

6.18%, the weighted average yield reached its highest level this financial year, and is 4bps higher than the previous week when it was 6.14%, Care Ratings wrote in a note.

The government raised ₹ 33,000 crore in its scheduled weekly auction – more than ₹ 4,000 crore more than the notified amount.
