The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday jointly conducted surprise checks in more than 25 states and union territories, which included 30 agencies and departments.

The departments covered include Food Corporation of India, Indian Railways, National Institute of Technology-Manipur, Andaman Public Works Department, Ordnance Factory, National Cyber ​​Crime Forensic Laboratory, Oil Corporation of India, Lighthouse and Lights Department, Defense Estates Office. , Inland Container Depot, National Thermal Power Corporation and Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology.

Investigations were also carried out at some offices of Union Territory Engineering Wing, Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization, Container Freight Stations, National Chemicals and Fertilizer Limited Factory, National Mineral Development Corporation, BSNL, Goods and Services Tax Department, Department of Posts. Central Public Works Department, Military Engineering Service, Rourkela Steel Plant, NBCC Limited, Central Coalfields, Customs Export Division and Cochin Shipyard.

In another case, CBI booked Indian Technical Company Limited and its two directors for allegedly defrauding the consortium of banks worth omet 555.65 crore. The agency searched its premises in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
