COVID safe behavior to states, apply MHA

Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has asked all states to “implement COVID-19 appropriate practices such as wearing face masks, hand cleaning and social distance between people”.

Mr. Bhalla said in a letter sent on Friday, “After a steady decline in COVID-19 cases for almost 5 months, for the past few weeks, many parts of the country have been seeing an increase in the number of COVID cases. It has been observed that this is largely due to the laxity in people following the proper behavior of COVID, especially in crowded places. ”

The letter stated that it is important to ensure compliance with the guidelines issued on 27 January which are currently in force “keeping in mind the fresh rise of affairs and the upcoming festivals”.

The letter stated, “Therefore, I urge you to take the necessary measures to create awareness to follow the proper behavior of COVID as well as to take necessary action for its strict enforcement.”
