The agitating panchayat secretaries did not trust when Collector M. Hanumantha Rao visited the hospital and tried to convince them. He withdrew the movement only after the MLA pacified him.

Later speaking to reporters, Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy termed the death of the Panchayat Secretary as a murder by the government. He wondered why the leader of employee unions was absent when an employee ended his life.
