The Director of Town and Country Planning has called for these applications after the Madras High Court vacated the stay order
In view of the Madras High Court vacating a stay order, the Director of Town and Country Planning applied for grant of consent for educational institutional buildings constructed before January 1, 2011 in non-planning areas and working in those places Have asked for.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a GO (GOMs.No.76 dated June 14, 2018) with guidelines to provide consent for institutional buildings constructed before January 1, 2011 in non-plan areas. However, the Madras High Court by an interim order stayed the grant of consent for applications received online between June 14 and September 13, 2018.
The court on February 10, while hearing the writ appeal, removed the stay. According to the order, “As per this court order, those who have already applied under the scheme can approach the concerned (sic) District Town and Country Planning Office to furnish the relevant details.”
The court has also given two weeks time for registration of new applications under the scheme. The Election Commission of India has also exempted the Model Code of Conduct for online applications under the scheme. The registration of the application can be done from 22 March to 4 April through www.tn.gov.in/tcp.
