The district administration said that 180 new COVID-19 cases and 229 recoveries were reported in the district on Wednesday.

The active case pool stands at 1,879.

According to the latest available data, the death toll in the district has touched 859.

Meanwhile, 1,185 more people have been isolated in the district as part of measures taken to prevent the spread of infection.

It currently takes 15,922 in quarantine. In all, 969 people also completed the quarantine period on Wednesday.
