There were 78.27 lakh domestic trips in February: DGCA

According to DGCA’s monthly report, the domestic air traffic gap from the pre-COVID-19 level in February is limited to -36.7% with a total of 78.27 lakh trips.

This is the lowest difference between COVID-19 domestic traffic levels so far in a financial year. In September, the air traffic number was 65.82%. In December, during peak travel season, domestic traffic was reduced by 43.72%.

All airlines except AirAsia India were able to sell more than 70% of their seats – a key operational parameter. SpiceJet saw a passenger weight factor (PLF) of 78.9%. Air India was surprised at 78.3% of the seats sold and GoAir was third with 76.5% PLF.
