A Lok Adalat will be held in all the courts of Hassan district on March 27, with senior civil judge BK Ravikant and members of the District Legal Services Authority.
At a press conference in Hassan on Thursday, he said that cases related to check bounce, bank collection, traffic offenses and land related issues could be adequately resolved in the Lok Adalat. Petitioners could participate in person or through advocates. “They should make better use of this opportunity.”
Mr. Ravikant said that 72,881 cases were pending in the Hassan district courts. The courts have identified cases that can be taken up in Lok Adalat. “By clearing cases in Lok Adalat, pendency can be addressed”, he said.
