Coming down and out in the last five overs of the innings, Kohli led from the front in the company of all-rounder Hardik Pandya as both added 69 runs from 30 balls to surpass the hosts’ total of 150 runs.

Hardik included Kohli with a score of 86/5 in 14.3 overs and was followed by a master-class in power-hitting. Interestingly, it was Hardik who scored a second century off just 33 balls in his 70-run partnership when Kohli was hit. It was India’s sixth-highest wicket partnership in T20Is.

With the victory in the third T20I, England have now taken a 2–1 lead in the five-match series. Both teams will now clash in the fourth T20I on Thursday which will be played at the same venue.
