Independent candidates filed leaflets on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the third day of nomination, the candidates filed their leaflets in the central districts.

In Tiruchi district, only four candidates filed their nominations. Two filed their nomination papers for Manapparai. The Tiruchi (East), Mannachallur and Mussiri constituencies received one each. All the candidates were independents.

Most of the DMK candidates are expected to file nominations on Wednesday.

In Thanjavur district, seven people filed their nomination papers to contest from four assembly segments.

According to official sources, DMK sitting MLA TKG Nilamag filed his nomination papers for the Thanjavur constituency. s. Arumugam filed his pamphlets as a party dummy.

An independent, m. Santosh submitted his nomination papers for the constituency on Tuesday.

M. of the name Tamizhar Katchi (NTK) Dheeva Bharti filed nomination papers in the Thiruthuraipondi (Reserve) area, while independents c. Vijayakumar filed his leaflets for Kumbhakarnam.

AMMK K. R. Kannagi and BJP’s V. Rajasundara filed his pamphlets for Thiruvayaru.

No enrollment

In Thiruvarur district, no nominations were received for any of the four constituencies of Thiruthuraipondi (reserved), Mannargudi, Thiruvarur and Nanilam constituencies on Tuesday.

In Nagapattinam district, nominees from the name Tamizhar Kachi filed their nominations for Nagapattinam (S. Augustine Arupatharaj), Keezhavelur (S. Ponelwazki) and Vedamanyam (K. Rajendran).

V. Arivoli also filed his nomination for Vedaranyam constituency.

No nominations were received for Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai and Poompuhar constituencies.

In Karur district, 11 candidates filed nominations for Karur constituency on Tuesday. Most of them were independents.

Aravakurichi and Krishnaraipuram (reserved) constituencies each received nominations. On Tuesday, no one filed for the Kulathalai seat.

In Pudukottai district, barring two candidates who filed nomination papers for the Alangudi assembly constituency, no other contestants in the remaining five assembly constituencies filed their leaflets on Tuesday.

a. Robert Kennedy of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam filed his pamphlets as a dummy candidate for Alangudi constituency. M. of Bahujan Samaj Party Chinnadurai filed his leaflets for the Alangudi seat.

P. of Nam Tamizhar Kachi in Perambalur district. M. of Arul and New Generation People’s Party. Ravan filed his pamphlets for Kunnam assembly constituency.

In Ariyalur district, no nomination was received for Ariyalur constituency, while the name Tamizhar Katchi’s M. Ambazaki filed his pamphlets for Jayamkondam.
