9 SAD MLAs of Punjab try to contest Haryana’s CM out of Assembly

Officials said here on Tuesday that the Chandigarh Police has filed a case against nine Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLAs from Punjab and out of the assembly against Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Sharanjit Singh Dhillon and Bikram Singh Majithia are among the SAD MLAs nominated in the FIR.

The Chandigarh Police registered a case against SAD MLAs, including 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 323 (punishment for voluntarily injuring) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint). FIR

SAD MLAs confronted Khattar outside the assembly hall on March 10, demanding that a resolution be passed in the state assembly against Centre’s three new farm laws.

Subsequently, the Haryana Assembly Secretariat had decided to register an FIR against a group of Punjab MLAs for alleged misconduct with Khattar.

Haryana Assembly Speaker Giani Chand Gupta on Monday condemned the incident and informed the House that a group of SAD MLAs from Punjab allegedly tried to surround and attack the Haryana Chief Minister outside the Vidhan Sabha building last week. Was when he was talking to the media.
