Former Cabinet Secretary and Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Principal Advisor PK Sinha has relinquished his high-profile post on an individual basis.
Top sources in the government have confirmed the development Hindu.
The sudden exit of Mr Sinha has led to speculation and theories about possible reasons that could lead to the resignation.
He was appointed to the PMO after the 2019 parliamentary election. Prior to this, he served as Cabinet Secretary and before that, was Secretary of the Union Ministry of Power.
Mr. Sinha is a 1978 batch retired IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.
This is his second high-profile exit from the PMO. Earlier, PM Principal Secretary Nripendra Mishra resigned after the last Lok Sabha election.
