Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday that efficient management and use of latest technology by the private sector will help unlock the true value of CPSEs undergoing strategic sales and bring in much higher dividends for the economy.
Ms Sitharaman said that NITI Aayog was mandated to identify and recommend CPSEs – which are not in the ‘priority sector’ for strategic priority.
These CPSEs are considered as a ‘low priority’ for the government to be profit-making companies.
