Police, education and excise officials have decided to hold a counseling session for the students of a government-aided school in Tadepalli, who were found to be addicted to Wightner, a drug addict.
The case came to light when two students were recently found consuming whitener and the employees lodged a police complaint.
Guntur’s Urban Superintendent of Police RN Amireddy said police personnel visited the school and confirmed that more than 30 students were using Whitener regularly.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to identify those who were selling whitener to the students. “Shop owners in Tadepalli have been warned of stern action against selling whitener to students,” he said.
Students will be told about the side effects of the use of whitener and other drugs. Parents should keep an eye on their children, the SP said.
