The All India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) has unveiled the Arvind Mehta Center for Technology and Entrepreneurship (AMTEC) to accelerate the development of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) internationally from India.
The center has been established as a mark of respect for Arvind Mehta, who has contributed to 30 years of service in India’s plastics industry.
Mr. Mehta donated ₹ 1 crore for the establishment of AMTEC of AIPMA in Mumbai.
AIPMA said in a statement, it will bring the latest technologies and best practices for the Indian plastics and applications industries with a primary focus on MSMEs.
Arvind Mehta, President of the Governing Council of AIPMA and President of AMTEC, said that the Center will promote the application of knowledge to industry to maintain and develop international competitive technical expertise while stimulating the economy.
“The Center of Excellence will help MSMEs graduate from micro to small, small to medium and medium to large units,” he said.
AMTEC’s vision is to promote high quality knowledge and industrial services for the rapid development of the plastics industry. Mr Mehta said the center would help reduce MSMEs to design, develop and quickly roll out products, thereby increasing market momentum and beating China in the global arena.
The newly-established body will provide 360-degree service under one roof through the Center for Software Design, the Center for Reverse Engineering and the Center for Additive Manufacturing.
“It will help deliver greater value through technical leadership and manufacturing excellence, responsive to dynamic market needs, leading to domestic and export growth, making India a global service provider for plastic products,” the statement said. Has become the center. “
