TikTok Trend Wreaks Havoc in UK Town As Users Recording Videos by Banging on Doors to the Beat of 2012 Club Hit

A Tik Tok trend is spreading like fire in London and Barnsley, South Yorkshire. A group of youngsters can be seen banging the doors randomly to the tunes of pop star Kesha’s dance hit ‘Die Young’.

These groups are following the so-called ‘heartbeat’ challenge, banging on residents’ doors and fleeing before they would answer. This trend has terrorised old citizens in several houses. The trend has begun to beat the record of a 2012 club hit.

According to a report published in The Times, a 50-year-old resident, Pamela Russell, said, “We were sitting watching true crime stories in the living room when a huge bang shook the whole house,”

When her house was banged, an 82-year-old woman told the Mirror she “was  still shaking the next day until my 14-year-old granddaughter said it was a silly TikTok trend.”

While it can be a trend for many, it can lead to serious consequences for many vulnerable residents. People in these areas are now getting CCTV cameras installed to deter pranksters. TikTok Ban in Canada: Chinese-Owned Video Sharing App Banned on All Canadian Government Mobile Devices.

Police in the area have warned youngsters to stop the trend right away. One man in Des Moines, Iowa, has been charged with criminal mischief. The man drove his son and friends around a neighbourhood after they banged on someone’s doors.

While the trend has become a nuisance in the city, it is grabbing millions of views on the videos these young tik-tokers post.
