All-Star captains LeBron James and Kevin Durant selected their teams on Wednesday and the Roosters were shared during the “NBA on TNT” pregame show on Thursday night. Despite Utah sitting alone in the NBA standings with a 27–9 record, the two available Jazz players did not come off the board until the final two picks.

Durant chose Mitchell to fill his final reserve slot, leaving James with Gobert. Prior to his hilarious pick, James said he needed some size, then took pacer big man Domantus Sabonis instead of cow dung.
TNT analyst Charles Barclay said, “I’m not going to discredit this Utah Jazz right now.” “Come on, man… They’ve got the best record in the NBA, and two of their best players stand the last two. It’s slander. It’s slander, America.”
