Digital Payments company PayPal on Wednesday said it would hire 1,000 engineers for its development centers in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad this year.
The company said in a statement that PayPal said it would recruit these engineers in the entry-level, mid-level and senior roles in the areas of software product development, data science, risk analytics and business analytics.
India Technology Center currently employs over 4,500 people in three locations.
PayPal India has also announced its plans to hire campuses of top engineering colleges across India.
The company said the epidemic has accelerated the shift towards digital payments and highlighted the benefits of adopting the digital first approach.
