In another seizure of smuggled gold, Mangalore Air Customs officials seized 737 grams of gold worth 33,75,470 from a passenger at Mangaluru International Airport on Saturday.

He was stopped after arriving on an Air India flight from Dubai. “They tried to smuggle gold by hiding in their specially designed inner wear. Further investigation is underway.
The campaign was led by Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Avinash Kiran Rongali. The release said that Bhomkar, Rakesh Kumar and Bikram Chakraborty, who were all Superintendent rank officers, monitored and intercepted.
