Case of fraud, copyright infringement filed against Kangana

After the author, the Mumbai police on Friday registered a case of alleged cheating against actor Kangana Ranaut on orders from the local court. Didda: Warrior Queen of Kashmir Accused him of copyright infringement.

An FIR was lodged at Khar Police Station against Ms. Ranaut, Kamalkumar Jain, Rangoli Chandel and Akshat Ranaut.

The author of the book is Ashish Kaul, who has been translated into Hindi Yodha Rani Didda of Kashmir, In a complaint before a magistrate, said that he had exclusive copyright to the life story of the princess of Lohar (Poonch) and Queen Didda of Kashmir.

According to the complaint, he sent an email to Ms. Ranaut about the story of her book, and used some part of the story in a tweet announcing her film without Mr. Kaul’s permission.

“Is it credible by any stretch of the imagination that a story and a book are being usurped by a famous actor-social activist?” They said.

An FIR was registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code on the orders of the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate and also under the Copyright Act, a police officer said. Further investigation is underway.

Ranaut is already facing police cases in Mumbai over his alleged inflammatory tweet.
