Relieves scorching heat

On Friday, light showers and hailstorms brought relief from the rising temperature in the capital. The maximum temperature reached 30.7 ° C, falling from the previous day’s 35.5 ° C, six degrees above normal for the season. The minimum temperature was recorded at 17.9 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures are expected to fall along with thunderstorms in many parts of the city in the evening.

Safdarjung Observatory, which provides representative data for the city, recorded 2.6 mm of rainfall until 8.30 am, but nothing after 5.30 pm, the relief came under the influence of a western disturbance. The forecast by the meteorological department suggests that the temperature is likely to rise again as more rain is not forecast.

The forecast for March 13 reads: “The morning is partly cloudy with fog.”
