The Madurai District Tiny and Small-Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) will conduct the sixth edition of its Buyer Seller Meet from 17 to 19 March, Chairman of MADITSSIA b. Muruganantham and the President of the Vendors Development Trade Fair PJ Bansidhar addressed the media persons here on Friday. .
Recent growth in the automobile and light engineering industries has resulted in new units being set up in Coimbatore and Chennai. Micro and small industries, especially from the southern districts, are moving towards Chennai to meet these large establishments.
Therefore, MADITSSIA has organized this buyer seller meeting to connect small units with larger units.
The meeting is organized jointly by MADITSSIA and the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The event is supported by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Tamil Nadu, Small Industries Development Corporation, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Chennai and Small Industries Development Bank of India.
Major industries of aerospace, defense, automobile and auto components, industrial equipment and machinery, rubber, textiles, hydraulics, infrastructure development, tourism, chemicals and petrochemicals, shipping and cold storage will attend this meeting.
Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, Baba Atomic Research Center, Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited and TVS Shree Chakra Tire will also participate.
The opening program of the exhibition will take place on 17 March at 11 am in the MADITSSIA Hall. Eminent nuclear scientist J. Daniel Chellappa will inaugurate the exhibition and deliver the address.
