Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho hopes “Master” Harry Kane is fit to face Arsenal

Jose Mourinho expects Harry Kane to face Arsenal after his knee was hit by Dino Zagreb’s victory in Tetonham’s 2–0 Europa League win on Sunday. The 27-year-old England captain scored both Spurs goals in the first leg of the last-16 match in London on Thursday. He now has 26 goals and 16 assists in all competitions this season and has been called a “master of football” by Dinamo boss Zoran Mamik.

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is optimistic Kane will be fit for the North London Derby.

“I hope so, I believe it,” he said. “It’s a big match, only big problems stop him. Let’s see the reaction tomorrow (Friday). But I’m sure he’ll be alright.”

Mourinho highlighted Ken’s brilliance with an assessment of his brilliance.

“Some strikers score a lot of goals and for the striker the most important thing in football is what he does,” he said.

“But apart from that he understands every tip we give him, in terms of his position, movement, he understands the game very well.

“He feels blanks, he looks around to see where the other players are and he can influence the game. He’s a really good player.”

The way his team rebounded after a bad spell, Mourinho is happy to have won his last five matches in all competitions.

They are now seventh in the Premier League table, five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Arsenal are 10th pass.

Winning the Europa League will be another route into next season’s Champions League.

The 58-year-old Portuguese boss would have preferred an extra goal against Dinomo to give his side a bigger pillow.

“The result could be a little bit bigger,” he said.

“The third goal came and would fit very well into the reality of the game, but that is what it is.

“It’s still open. We have to go there and play a serious match because 2-0 we’re not in the quarter-finals right now.”
